Another Deal of “DROMEAS” with the German Army

Will manufacture lockers worth €1,800,000

Not once, not twice, nor three times, but seven times the German army has chosen to trust the Serres-based office furniture company DROMEAS for the supply of lockers. Although stereotypes about “lazy” people prevail in the public opinion of Germany, this did not prevent DROMEAS from winning an international furniture tender of the German army worth €1,800,000. This project concerns 16,260 lockers, which will be delivered by the Serres company in three installments in May, July, and September 2016.

When ready, DROMEAS will have delivered a total of around 100,000 lockers to the German army, as part of the seven tenders it has won so far, once again raising the Greek flag high in the heart of Germany.

“We have the infrastructure, specialization, and know-how that meets European standards. And this is not only true for the lockers we make for the German army but also for the furniture with which we supply the European Union and CERN,” says DROMEAS President Thanasis Papapanagiotou in an interview with “Dimokratia.” Among the projects bearing the signature of the Serres company are the library of former European Commission President José Manuel Barroso in Brussels, the CERN facilities in Geneva, and the Commission’s research center in Ispra, Italy. “Wherever Juncker meets with other European officials and makes decisions, DROMEAS products are there,” Mr. Papapanagiotou notes emphatically.

Just last August, the company won a €30,000,000 tender for the supply of furniture to the European Commission until 2020, something that had also happened in 2009.
