DROMEAS acknowledges its responsibility toward society and the environment.
Total Quality Management System
For over 25 years, DROMEAS has implemented a Total Quality Management System fully tailored to its organizational structure and product range — a system that continuously evolves, incorporating global technological and scientific innovations.
The company’s Total Quality Management System ensures:
-
the effective management of product and service quality (ISO 9001),
-
the sustainable use of natural resources and responsible environmental practices (ISO 14001, EMAS, FSC),
-
the protection of health and safety in the workplace (ISO 45001),
-
and the reduction of energy consumption, minimizing environmental impact and promoting the sustainable use of energy (ISO 50001).
Verified carbon footprint
total carbon emissions (in metric tons) for 2023
carbon emissions (tons CO₂) per ton of produced output for 2023
lower carbon emissions relative to 2022
In addition, DROMEAS continuously improves and certifies the quality characteristics of its products with regard to durability and longevity, environmental footprint, ergonomics, user-friendliness, and safety — always in accordance with applicable international standards.
According to a study published by the Furniture Industry Research Association (FIRA) titled “A study into the feasibility of benchmarking carbon footprints of furniture products”, the manufacturing of a typical office chair emits, on average, 72 kg of CO₂, while a standard desk emits around 36 kg of CO₂.
Another significant issue is that many manufacturers often produce furniture that cannot be repaired or have parts replaced, due to poor design or low-quality materials. As a result, the only option becomes disposal and replacement, leading to unnecessary waste and additional costs — which often exceed planned budgets.

Respecting the environment and the future of generations to come, DROMEAS leverages its vertically integrated production facility in Serres to implement circular economy strategies in practice — aiming to reduce environmental impact and maximize customer value:
-
Use of high-quality, certified raw materials to extend product lifespan
-
Use of recycled and recyclable materials
-
Smart industrial design that enables easy assembly/disassembly, as well as future upgrades or refurbishments after long-term use
-
Provision of genuine, compatible spare parts for the quick replacement of worn or damaged components
-
Commitment to offering upgrade, repair, or refurbishment services for DROMEAS products, regardless of purchase date
In international tenders where DROMEAS participates, the submission of quality certifications is mandatory for the evaluation and final selection of products. A prominent example is the European Commission, which has continuously selected DROMEAS since 2008 as its exclusive furniture supplier.

Environmental Responsibility
At DROMEAS, we adopt a holistic approach to environmental responsibility — one that goes beyond circular economy strategies and extends to a wide range of initiatives aimed at reducing our environmental footprint.
At our production facility in Serres, we have installed photovoltaic parks, significantly reducing conventional energy consumption and CO₂ emissions.
In parallel, we have undergone a digital transformation by developing tools such as our product configurator, while also drastically reducing paper usage through the digitization of catalogs, internal processes, and communications — further enhancing our sustainability and environmental performance.
LEVEL 3 Certification
DROMEAS S.A. holds LEVEL 3 certification for the majority of its seating, desks, and storage units. The most recent audit was successfully completed, confirming the company’s full compliance with the strict requirements of the standard.
LEVEL is the official certification program of BIFMA (Business and Institutional Furniture Manufacturers Association), evaluating furniture products based on the ANSI/BIFMA e3 – Furniture Sustainability Standard.
LEVEL 3 is the highest tier of certification, awarded following a quantitative and evidence-based assessment across four key pillars:
-
Environmental management and footprint reduction (emissions, resource consumption, recycling)
-
User health and safety (low VOC emissions, use of certified materials)
-
Social responsibility and ethical manufacturing (labor practices, regulatory compliance)
-
Product lifecycle analysis and design/production transparency
Globally, only 25 manufacturers hold LEVEL 3 certification. DROMEAS’ presence in this select group highlights the company’s longstanding commitment to sustainable design and high-quality production — making it an ideal partner for projects requiring documented environmental and social responsibility.
Utilizing Product Configurators
Utilization of modern digital tools (configurators) for interactive presentation of available combinations, customizations, and product features, contributing to the reduction of the need for printed catalogs and technical brochures.
Digital Transformation
Adoption of digital platforms for effective product presentation, comprehensive order management, non-conformity tracking, and the handling of custom construction requests — while simultaneously achieving a significant reduction in paper and printed material usage.
